Pantone’s Colour of the Year 2024: Peach Fuzz embodies a focus on nurture. It has feeling of comfort, which comes through in both the warmth of the shade, as well as its suggestion towards a tactile experience. These relate to experiences of closeness and connection which are the core ingredients for a nurturing environment. And looking to a larger scale, these notions help to address a peaceful future that can begin to grow from a nurturing world. Trend forecasting agency WGSN excellently summarised it as a “psychological mood booster”.

“A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless.”

Leatrice Eiseman, Pantone Executive Director

The theme of nostalgia has become more prominent over the past few years, and peach fuzz hones in on this due to its affinity with mid-century design and hints of the shade within colour palettes from the seventies.

It also highlights the importance of touch. ‘Fuzz’ suggests a tactile experience which is a welcome element within interior design… think of the comfort that comes with a tufted rug or cosy cushions (side note: our made to order cushions are now live to order on our website here).
